Day 1: ARRIVAL - DELHI

Departure with flight to Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi, a representative of our office will come to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: DELHI

Breakfast at the hotel and start of tours to the old city (Shahajahanabad), Red Fort, Jama Masjid Friday Mosque with rickshaw ride on the streets of Old Delhi, then visit to New Delhi with its most important monuments: the colonial government buildings in front of the India Gate, the Mausoleum of Emperor Humayun and the Qutub Minar complex. Overnight.

Day 3: DELHI - GUWAHATI

After breakfast, transfer to the domestic airport for the flight to Guwahati. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Guwahati, the gateway to North East India, is an important commercial center and is also called Pragjyotishpura (The Eastern City of Light) and also mentioned in the great epic book of the Mahabharata. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon visit Srimanta Shankerdev Kalashetra, a multi-artistic complex that illustrates the whole complex culture of life in Assam as well as the whole North-East region. Overnight.

Day 4: GUWAHATI – SUALKUCHI – HAJO - GUWAHATI

In the morning visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple. This temple is ancient, dated to the times of the Vedas and the center of Tantrism. The temple is a natural cave with a spring. Then, continue to the village of Sualkuchi (32 km / 1 hour), also called the Manchester of the East and famous for its textile industry and silk in particular. Muga - the exceptional Assam silk that has golden reflections, is spun here. Visit to a silk factory to find out how the famous "Assamese silk mekhela sadar's" (the Assamese saris) are packaged. Next, continuation to Hajo (30'), an important Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist branch of the pilgrimage. Visit to the Hayagriya Madhab Temple sacred to Hindus and Buddhists. Visit also the Powa Mecca mosque (1/4 of Mecca) built by Pir Ghiasuddin Aulia with land supposedly arrived from Mecca. Following is a visit to the ruins of Madan Kamdev temple and back to Guwahati. Overnight.

Day 5: GUWAHATI - KAZIRANGA

Today we leave for the Kaziranga National Park (230 km / 5 hours), a "world heritage site" and famous for the monocorn rhinos. Arrival at the resort and overnight.   

Day 6: KAZIRANGA

Wake up early for an exciting 1-hour elephant hike and start admiring rhinos, wild elephants, Indian bisons, deer, samba so closely. Return to the hotel for breakfast and immediately leave for a Jeep safari inside the central part of the park. In the afternoon, another Jeep safari in the western part of the Park. In the evening dance show at the resort. Overnight.

Day 7: KAZIRANGA – JORHAT - MAJULI

After an early breakfast, departure to the port of Neemati (96 kms / 2 hours) via Jorhat. At the port of Neemati you will take the ferry to Majuli, one of the largest inhabited river islands in the world. The navigation takes about 2 hours, arriving at Majuli in the middle of the river Brahmaputra, where there are several species of migratory birds from around the world. Upon arrival, check in at the traditional Mishing Chang (bamboo house). Upon arrival, view of the Mishing village. Below, visit the famous "satras" (monasteries) of Majuli where you can attend the traditional dances 'Satryra' (which is the national dance of India), and the houses of the Mishing villages. Overnight in Majuli.

Day 8: MAJULI – JORHAT – SIBSAGAR - DIBRUGARH

Early in the morning return to the Neematighat and reaching (55 kms / 1 hour) Sibsagar, the old capital of the Ahom, who ruled Assam for 600 years before the advent of the British. You will see ancient temples such as Ranghar (Asia's largest amphitheater), Karenghar, Talatalghar, Siva Dol, etc. After lunch, departure for Dibrugarh (80 km / 2 hours). Upon arrival, check-in at the Heritage Tea Chang Bungalow. Dibrugarh is an important center for the collection and processing of tea. Overnight.

Day 9: DIBRUGARH – DELHI - DEPARTURE

In the morning, visit a plantation of you, where the collection of leaves is still done by hand, you can also practice this work. Then we will visit a tea factory to see how these leaves are processed and packaged. Finally we will participate in the "ceremony" of tasting the final product. Then transfer to the airport for the flight to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi and hotel accommodation near the international airport. Late in the evening transfer to the airport and departure by scheduled flight.
