Day 1: ARRIVAL - DELHI

Departure with flight to Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi, a representative of our office will come to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: DELHI

After breakfast at the hotel, our of the Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad), the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Friday Mosque with a thrilling ride on the rickshaw in the narrow and crowded streets of Old Delhi. Following is a visit to New Delhi with its most important monuments: the colonial government buildings in front of the India Gate, the Mausoleum of Emperor Humayun and the Qutub Minar complex. Overnight.

Day 3: DELHI - PARO

Early in the morning, departure for Paro by flight, arrival in Paro, meeting with our local representative and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day available for personal activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: PARO

Morning visit to the Drunkgyel Castle, then visit the Takstang, the "Nest of the Tiger". Afternoon visit of the Ta Dzong, National Museum and Paro Dzong. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: PARO - THIMPU

Departure for Thimpu the capital of Bhutan, with houses all strictly in style and dominated by the imposing Dzong Simtokha, built in 1627. Full day dedicated to the visit of this city where time seems to have stopped, the temples and the interesting bazaar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: THIMPU

Full day dedicated to visits to this beautiful city, its temples and nearby monasteries. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: THIMPU - PUNAKHA

Departure for the Penzi-Là pass. From the top you can see the Himalayan peaks. Descent into the Po Chu valley (Padre River). Visit to the Dzong of Punkha and Wangdiphodrang (from April to October and during the Festival period 14-17). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: PUNAKHA

Full day dedicated to visits to the Punakha Valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: PUNAKHA - GANGTEY - TRONGSA

Crossing the Black Mountains. Visit to the Gangtey monastery (Closed winter). Hotel accommodation in Trongsa. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: TRONGSA - BUMTHANG

Visit of the Trongsa Dzong, the castle from which the royal family of Bhutan comes. Afternoon, continuation of the Bumthang region from which Buddhism spread to Bhutan. Accommodation in hotel taken the Bjakar Dzond. Dinner and overnight.

Day 11: BUMTHANG

Visit the Bjakar Dzong and the oldest temples of Bhutan (7th - 8th century AD). Walk in the Bumthang valley. Dinner and overnight.

Day 12: BUMTHANG - PARO

Long crossing of Western Bhutan from Bjakar Dzong to Paro. Afternoon tour of the city and the valley with excursion to Pa Chu Drugyel Dzong and to Taktsang; easy walk up to the 'Tana della Tigre', meditation place of the famous monk Tsongkapa. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: PARO - DELHI - JAIPUR (265 km. about 6 hours)

After breakfast, fly to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to Jaipur. Arrival and accommodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 14: JAIPUR

Breakfast at the hotel and immediately visit the Amber Fort, 11 km away from Jaipur, imposing fortress of Rajput civilization. The last stretch of climb to the fort is mounted on the back of placid elephants almost to recall the ancient deeds of the Maharaja. Inside the walls you can visit palaces and pavilions of refined beauty and the small but precious temple of the Goddess Kali. In the afternoon visit of the city, capital of Rajasthan, the "pink city", one of the most beautiful and picturesque in India. Visit the famous and depicted in all the postcards Hawa Mahal, the palace of the winds, and the palace of the Maharaja (City Palace), largely converted into a museum and the Astronomical Observatory (Jantar Mantar). Overnight.

Day 15: JAIPUR - FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRA (235 km. about 5.5 hours)

After breakfast transfer to Agra, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri for the visit of the deserted capital of the sixteenth century, abandoned after only 14 years of its construction, with beautiful red sandstone buildings. Arrival in Agra and accommodation at the hotel, afternoon is dedicated to the visit of Taj Mahal, named the first wonder of the world, reachable by horse-drawn carriage, called "Tonga". Overnight at hotel.

Day 16: AGRA - DELHI - DEPARTURE (230 km. about 5 hours)

After breakfast in the morning tour of the Agra Fort, former imperial residence of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Towards mid-day departure for Delhi, along the way stop for the visit of the Tomb of Akbar to Sikandra. Arrival in Delhi and transfer to the international airport for departure by return flight.
