Day 1: ARRIVAL - DELHI
Departure with flight to Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi, a representative of our office will come to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: DELHI – BHUBANESWAR
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Bhubaneswar. Arrival and check in at the hotel. Bhubaneswar: The capital of Orissa, an important ancient temple-city of India, Bhubaneswar represents a fine example of art and culture. Free afternoon. Overnight.
Day 3: BHUBANESWAR
Visit for the whole day of Bhubaneswar and surroundings. Visit some of the city's beautiful temples and caves. The biggest temple, Lingaraja Temple, dates back to the 10th century, whereas the 10th century Mukteswara Temple is considered the architectural gem of Orissa. In the afternoon visit to the Jainist caves of Khandagiri and Udayagiri. Overnight.
Day 4: BHUBANESWAR - RATNAGIRI AND UDAYAGIRI - BHUBANESWAR
After breakfast, visit the Buddhist monuments of Ratnagiri and Udayagiri: we will visit the stone stupa, 2 monasteries built from stone, a stone wall with many inscriptions, and a sculpture carved on the rock, on top of the hill. The Udayagiri complex is later chronologically to that of Ratnagiri and Lalitgiri, probably between the seventh and twelfth centuries after Christ.
The Ratnagiri complex is truly precious with its effigies carved on the door of the Vihara and the Buddha, probably from the post-Gupta period. In the evening return to Bhubaneswar, overnight.
Day 5: BHUBANESWAR – KONARK - PURI
After breakfast, departure for Puri. On the way visit the world famous Sun Temple "the Black Pagoda" of Konark, shining in the sand dunes. Example of architecture Kalinga is now a UNESCO artistic heritage site. Arrival in Puri. In the afternoon visit to Puri and the Jagannath temple. Overnight.
Day 6: PURI - TAPTAPANI
After breakfast departure for Taptapani, on the way stop to visit some local village. Arrival and visit of the Taptapani hot springs. Overnight.
Day 7: TAPTAPANI – RAYAGADA
After breakfast departure for Rayagada, on the road visit of the Tibetan Pagoda to Chandragiri and some villages Saora and Kondh. Overnight at Rayagada.
Day 8: RAYAGADA
Full day for the visit of the Dongria tribe, more sedentary and peasant. Visit various villages and their homes to discover their culture. Return to Rayagada. Overnight.
Day 9: RAYAGADA - CHATIKONA – JEYPORE
After breakfast departure for Jeypore (220 km - 5 hours), on the way visit to Chatikona to visit the Dongaria Kondh tribes. Visit also the villages of the primitive Dongaria Kondh, with their women wearing colorful clothes and adorned with silver and bronze necklaces around their necks. Arrival in Jaypore and overnight.
Day 10: JEYPORE - BONDO MARKET – JEYPORE (75km. about 2 hours)
After breakfast we leave for the Onukudelli region to see the Didayi Bonda tribes. The succinct clothes of the Bonda women and the tendency of their men, make this tribe one of the most fascinating and remain in contrast with the other ethnic groups of Orissa. They are generally experienced farmers, just see their terrace crops. Return to Jeypore and overnight.
Day 11: JEYPORE- KUDULI TRIBAL MARKET - JEYPORE(75 Km. about 2 hours)
Full day dedicated to visiting the Paraja and Sona tribes and the Friday tribal market. The Paraja dialect is Parji. They worship various gods and goddesses who reside in the forest. During weddings the Parajas love to dance with music. In the evening return to Jeypore. Overnight.
Day 12: JEYPORE – GUPTESWAR - BALIGAON MARKET - JAGDALPUR
The morning visit of the Dhruwa tribes to Gupteswar and of the Hidden Siva Temple near the Saberi river. In the afternoon visit to the Baligaon market. The evening continues to Jagdalpur and overnight.
Day 13: JAGDALPUR - NARAYANPUR – JAGDALPUR
In the morning departure to attend the Sunday Narayanpur Market of the Abhujamaria tribe. Visit the market and the typical battle between roosters. Return to Jagdalpur and overnight.
Day 14: JAGDALPUR - TOKAPAL MARKET – JAGDALPUR
In the morning visit to the anthropological museum of Ammaguda. In the afternoon, visit to the Tokapal tribal market. Sunset at Chitrakootl waterfalls. Overnight at Jagdalpur.
Day 15: JAGDALPUR - PAKHNAR MARKET – JAGDALPUR
Morning visit to the Tirathgarh waterfalls and the village of the Gond tribe. Afternoon, visit of the Pakhnar market. In the evening visit the city and the Bastar Palace. Overnight.
Day 16: JAGDALPUR - KANKER
In the morning departure for Kanker, on the way visit of Kondagaon, the village of the metal craftsmen of the Chhattisgarh. We will observe their art. In the afternoon visit to a typical Gond ethnic village and if you can see one of their dorms called Ghotul. Overnight at Kanker.
Day 17: KANKER - RAJIM – KAWARDHA
In the morning departure to Kawardha, on the way visit to Rajim, a group of temples of the tenth century near the river Mahanadi. Arrival in Kawardha. Overnight.
Day 18: KAWARDHA – RAIPUR
In the morning visit to the temple of Bhoramdeo, also called the mini Khajuraho of India. Following arrival in Raipur. Overnight.
Day 19: RAIPUR - DELHI
After breakfast departure by flight to Delhi, arrival in Delhi and hotel accommodation near the international airport. Late in the evening transfer to the airport and departure by night flight.
