It is perhaps the most famous cattle fair of India, in the full moon of October / November they come, accompanied by their families all dressed in colorful clothes, thousands of owners of camels, cows, goats, horses to sell and buy all kinds of livestock . Very characteristic is also the camel race that is organized on the spot and the "load test" of the camels themselves, that is when men try to mount one after another on the poor unfortunate camel. During the same days the date of Kartik Purnima falls, the night when Brahma created the sacred lake, when thousands of pilgrims come to bathe on the banks of the lake.
Day 1 : ARRIVAL - DELHI
Departure with flight to Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi, a representative of our office will come to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: DELHI
After breakfast at the hotel, tour of the Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad), the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Friday Mosque with a thrilling ride on the rickshaw in the narrow and crowded streets of Old Delhi. Following is a visit to New Delhi with its most important monuments: the colonial government buildings in front of the India Gate, the Mausoleum of Emperor Humayun and the Qutub Minar complex. Overnight.
Day 3: DELHI - UDAIPUR (by internal flight)
Departure for Udaipur with internal flight, arrival in Udaipur and accommodation in hotel, following visit of the "White City" or with the City-Palace (still residence of the Maharaja) and its museum, the Sahelion Ki Bari that at the time it was the garden of the Harem. In the afternoon boat excursion on Lake Pichola to visit the Jag Mandir temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: UDAIPUR - RANAKPUR - JODHPUR (275 km. about 6 hours)
After breakfast departure for Jodhpur, the "Blue City". Stop to visit the Jainist temples in Ranakpur, truly a masterpiece of marble inlay by the artisans of the time. Continue to Jodhpur, arrival and visit the imposing and beautiful Fort Mehrangarh, overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: JODHPUR - JAISALMER (290 km. about 6 hours)
After breakfast, departure for Jaisalmer, crossing almost the entire desert of the Tar, on the western border with Pakistan. Jaisalmer is probably the most exotic destination of the entire trip. Stop for a visit to Gadi Sagar Lake. Arrival and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: JAISALMER
After breakfast, visit the fortified citadel and its palaces. Special care will be given to his numerous temples and Haveli such as Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Patwon-Ji-Ki-Haveli. In the afternoon excursion to admire the sunset on the dunes of the Thar desert on the back of a camel led by the Bedouins of the area wrapped in their fascinating cloaks. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: JAISALMER - KHIMSAR (320 km. about 6 hours)
Breakfast and departure for Khimsar. Check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon excursion by Jeep to a nature reserve. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: KHIMSAR - PUSHKAR (205 km. about 4 hours)
After breakfast, in the morning, excursion to Fort Nagur and transfer to Pushkar where you will stay in a village of tents. In the afternoon we will start to attend the various fairs. Overnight in private tents.
Day 9: PUSHKAR
After breakfast, the whole day is dedicated to the "discovery" of the Fair. Overnight.
Day 10: PUSHKAR - JAIPUR (145 km. about 3 hours)
After breakfast, in the morning, departure for Jaipur called the "Pink City". Arrival in Jaipur, hotel accommodation. Afternoon free for personal activities/relaxation. Overnight.
Day 11: JAIPUR
Breakfast at the hotel and immediately visit the Amber Fort, 11 km away from Jaipur, imposing fortress of Rajput civilization. The last stretch of climb to the fort is mounted on the back of placid elephants almost to recall the ancient deeds of the Maharaja. Inside the walls you can visit palaces and pavilions of refined beauty and the small but precious temple of the Goddess Kali. In the afternoon visit of the city, capital of Rajasthan, the "pink city", one of the most beautiful and picturesque in India. Visit the famous and depicted in all the postcards Hawa Mahal, the palace of the winds, and the palace of the Maharaja (City Palace), largely converted into a museum and the Astronomical Observatory (Jantar Mantar). Overnight.
Day 12: JAIPUR - FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRA (232 km. about 5 hours)
After breakfast transfer to Agra, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri for the visit of the deserted capital of the sixteenth century, abandoned after only 14 years of its construction, with beautiful red sandstone buildings. Arrival in Agra and accommodation at the hotel, afternoon is dedicated to the visit of Taj Mahal, named the first wonder of the world, reachable by horse-drawn carriage, called "Tonga". Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: AGRA - DELHI - DEPARTURE (230 km. about 5 hours)
After breakfast in the morning visit of the Agra Fort, former imperial residence of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Towards mid-day departure for Delhi, along the way stop for the tour of the Tomb of Akbar to Sikandra. Arrival in Delhi and transfer to the international airport for departure by return flight.
